DISNEY JUNIOR’S “SOFIA THE FIRST” RECEIVES SIX DAYTIME EMMY AWARD NOMINATIONS
Disney Junior’s “Sofia the First,” the all-time record holder for the top two cable TV telecasts for kids 2-5, received six nominations for the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. The nominations for the hit series, which follows the adventures of Disney’s first little girl princess, include the following:
• Outstanding Preschool Children’s Animated Program
• Outstanding Casting for an Animated Series or Special
• Outstanding Writing in a Preschool Animated Program
• Outstanding Achievement in Music Direction and Composition
• Outstanding Original Song – “I Belong”
• Outstanding Original Song – Main Title and Promo
