Rocking with Herman’s Hermits Starring Peter Noone
There are so many reasons to love the International Flower and Garden Festival. One of the reasons we love it the most is the Flower Power concert series that happens at the American Garden Theater.
Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays some of the classic artists from the 60’s and 70’s perform their greatest hits in one of the most intimate and fan-friendly venues on Disney Property.
This year, Parkhopper Sid and I have been attending many of the concerts with some friends who had a great idea: when the concert series artists were announced, they chose the concerts they wanted to attend and made dining reservations at several restaurants around World Showcase.
They got to enjoy some great music as well as sample some of the amazing dining throughout the many pavilions at Epcot!
This past weekend featured Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone…and we had no idea what we were in for.
Peter’s band (the Hermits) were all dressed in suits…which was very different for a rock band, and Peter came out in a fill suit.
They played several of Peter’s and Herman’s Hermits classics and even broke out with some Rolling Stone while Peter did his “world famous” Mic Jagger impression.
Peter even walking into and around the crowd…once of the few artists I have seen do that.
There is only one weekend left of the Flower Power concert series, with Starship starring Mickey Thomas. We saw them last year and they were great.
If you are looking for a fun evening, make a dining reservation and catch one of the 3 daily shows. And if you missed this year’s flower power concert series, Epcot has the Sounds Like Summer Series and the Eat to the Beat Concert Series during the Food and Wine Festival.
