The Walt Disney Family Museum is pleased to present All Aboard: A Celebration of Walt’s Trains, on view from November 13, 2014 through February 9, 2015. This comprehensive exhibition explores the influence that railroading had on Walt Disney’s life and work. It also tells the story of how his railroading legacy lives on to this day in Disney films and theme parks around the world. A Trip to the Walt Disney Family Museum
On a recent trip to San Francisco for a conference, I had one sightseeing trip in mind: a trip to the Walt Disney Family Museum in the Presidio. This two year old museum, created with the help of Walt Disney’s daughter, Diane, is a beautiful tribute to the genius creator. The location’s incredible too. Behind the museum you can see the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Presidio is a beautiful, historic area that used to be owned by the military, but was recently transferred to the National Park Service.
