WDW Hidden Treasures: Yehaa Bob

If you are an avid WDW Parkhopper, you already know about the amazing theme and water parks. You may also know about the spectacular Disney Resorts and Hotels and all the magic that Downtown Disney has to offer. But we’d like to introduce you to a not so well know treasure inside of Walt Disney World: Yehaa Bob.

Yehaa Bob, is a one-man powerhouse of music, comedy, and entertainment. You can catch his piano vaudevillian show at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort inside of their River Roost bar area. It’s intimate, raucous, family-friendly, and tons of FUN!

Yehaa Bob is Bob Jackson, who has performed all around Walt Disney World for the last 12 years and has also played at most all of the major theme parks in and around the Orlando Area for the last 24 years. His show at Port Orleans Riverside normally runs Wednesday through Saturdays from 8:30 pm to 12:30 am, and it’s 4 straight hours of music and entertainment and it is totally free. Of course you ARE in a bar/restaurant so you should probably order something to eat or drink, but the food choices are reasonable, but limited.

This is not a show for spectators, it is FULLY interactive. Bob get his audience to sing, clap, Samba line, Tarzan yell, and genuinely be goofy. The best part about the Yehaa Bob Show is that it is family-friendly, but it’s not specifically geared towards children OR adults. Bob get’s the mix right, and by the end of the night, the adults ARE the kids.

Bob plays a mix of show tunes, classic rock, commercials, Disney favorites, and little melodies that are instantly addictive. He also includes some of his original and jazz standards, and he does it all with no sheet music…it’s all off the top of his head. It’s truly amazing.

The other star of the show is Bob’s piano. It’s not JUST a piano, it’s a drum set, stage, prop, and as unbelievable as it sounds, really rocks and rolls!

Even though the show runs during the typical fireworks and late parade times, you really miss them, the show is more than worth the sacrifice of an evening inside one of the parks. You’ll create life-long memories, and probably make a few new friends. It’s also a great opportunity for an experience that is completely unique from others Walt Disney World.

The real draw to the show is Bob himself. He’s quirky, funny, and a little silly. But his energy and passion for what he does is infectious and completely charming. Bob’s friends are very wide-spread, as evidenced by his cork board of pictures, large number of Facebook friends, and massive number of repeat audience members (I’ve seen him twice, in a month’s time…it’s THAT good of a show!) Bob is a character, and you love him instantly.

You’ll appreciate the time you spend with your family at this terrific show, so the next time you plan on spending some time at Walt Disney World, you need to pay a visit to my friend and yours, Yehaa Bob!
